NEW LATEST BENQ LAPTOP REVIEWS 2011

BenQ made available 3 new notebooks in Asia-Pacific, China and East Europe, featuring the recently announced SRS advanced surround sound audio solutions and HD audio sound cards.
If yesterday we were presenting you a new HP laptop series with the SRS Premium Sound, now we will talk about the SRS TruSurround XT, TruSurround HD and SRS Headphone 360, which are the new sound enhancements brought by BenQ’s Joybook S33, Joybook S42 and Joybook P53 notebook models.
In short words, the new SRS technologies deliver deeper and richer bass, crystal clear communication and high-definition of high frequencies, with compatibility with any kind ofspeaker system, whether it is built inside the computer, designed for desktop, or integrated in headphones.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
According to the latest researches, the majority of the adults using a laptop computer need HD audio sound cards for content streaming, gaming and movies, so SRS had to develop the best solution without scarifying the lightweight and small form factor design of the portable computer.

BenQ Joybook S33 and Joybook S42 models feature the SRS TruSurround XT technology, which provides a premium virtual surround sound experience from any type of multichannel source, via 2 speakers or headphones. Doesn’t matter if sources are mono, stereo or surround encoded content, because the SRS technology transforms it into an outstanding virtual surround sound.

BenQ Joybook P53 laptop comes with the SRS TruSurround HD and SRS Headphone 360. The first technology supports input sources up to 6.1 channels and renders surround sound from 2.0 – 3.1 speakers.
It practically creates virtual “phantom” speakers for a greater multichannel surround sound effect. For example, if the source has mono sound, SRS TruSurround HD will give you the sensation of a three dimensional sound field, compensating for those systems that don’t offer tweeters for high frequency performance.

On the other hand, the SRS Headphone 360 enables outstanding surround sound effects on portable devices, enabling up to 7.1-channel sound over headphones including dialog clarity and enhanced bass.

The 13.3-inch ultra-portable BenQ Joybook S33’s design resembles the classic Victorian style by sporting curlicues over the white or black lid’s surface. Its 1280 x 800 display features 250 nits for high brightness and the Display Brilliance Enhancement Film for high-quality imaging. Inside it has the Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology, Windows Viata operating system, Intel GMA X4500HD graphics, up to 4GB system memory, up to 320GB hard drive storage, DVD burner, 4 USB ports, SPDIF connection, ExpressCard slot, a built-in 2MP web camera, microphone, the Intel WiFi Link 5100 module, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, a 4-in-1 card reader, High-Definition audio, Noise Suppression & Echo Cancellation, 4 hours of battery life, and the QDataTrove 3 backup and system restore utility. The system has a total weight of just 1.8Kg without the battery.

If you want to opt for a portable computer with High Definition support and separate graphics card, you can check BenQ Joybook S42 with an NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT card, support for full HD movies, LED Backlight display, BenQ’s backup and recovery system, Bluetooth 2.0, wireless draft N support, a built-in 2MP QEye webcam, and HDMI output connector. In addition, the laptop features a durable construction with shock-proof and scratch-resistance capabilities, as well as over 8 million keystrokes for the keyboard.
The 14.1-inch laptop comes with Windows Vista pre-installed, up to 4GB memory, up to 320GB hard drive, DVD burner, ExpressCard slot, a 4-in-1 card reader, HD Audio, and many other elements, all in a 2Kg unit, excluding the battery providing 5.5 hours of continuous operation.

BenQ Joybook P53 is the largest newly introduced laptop from the company, sporting a 15.4-inch display and weighting 2.4Kg not including the battery.
Characteristics of this model include an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor, Windows Vista operating system, ATI Radeon HD3450 256MB graphics, up to 4GB system memory, 320GB maximum HDD capacity, DVD burner, 4 USB ports, HDMI output, built-in 2MP web camera, and all the other components of the previously described models, including HD audio sound cards.

"Through their hands-on involvement throughout our development process, SRS demonstrated a unique, in-depth understanding of how to tune and optimize their advanced sound solutions to deliver excellent audio performance for our exciting new line of Joybook," said Peter Chen, GM of BenQ Technology Product Center. "Our customers expect us to combine exquisite design with advanced technology to deliver great performance, practicality and ultimate portability. Given that, we are convinced that, thanks to SRS' state-of-the-art audio solutions, there will be no compromises in terms of audio output, guaranteeing our customers a seamless and superior multimedia experience."

2011 iPhone 4G Reviews

Apple may launch its fourth generation iPhone as early as April – According to Korea Times. 4G iPhone is at the Center of the Latest Apple Rumors. iPhone lovers are eagerly waiting for this. Still Apple didn’t specify the features, but in the technology world it’s full of wishlists for iPhone 4G. let’s see, what Apple can offer to their fans.
Korean company says phone is being rushed into production partly because of Google assault. The new iPhone rumors come from a Korean telecommunications company that told a local newspaper that it doesn’t see any “big hurdle” to selling the phone as early as this summer.
The Korea Times says the new iPhone will begin testing in April and it will feature an OLED screen, similar to the new Google Nexus One.
According to Korea times : “We don’t see any bigger hurdle to introduce 4G iPhones here, as legal issues were completely cleared. It’s possible to launch the devices within the first half,” a high-ranking KT executive told The Korea Times, asking not to be identified.
“Still, there are some 3G iPhone stocks. But KT and Apple have reached a broad consensus to introduce the advanced models as early as possible,” according to the executive.
Telecoms Korea adds that that KT, South Korea’s second largest mobile carrier has inked a deal with Apple for releasing the iPhone 4G in June. The new iPhone it seems will feature “two camera modules for video-call services”, and possible DVB-H support for Korean versions.
http://cdn.thetechjournal.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/new-iphone-specs.jpg
U.S. availability isn’t specified in the report, but an upgraded iPhone in June wouldn’t be surprising, as that falls in line with Apple’s previous annual updates to the popular smartphone, 2008′s iPhone 3G and 2009′s iPhone 3GS. But let’s take a closer look at some of those supposed new features:
Korea Times also revealed some of the features of upcoming iPhone :
  • ARM Cortex A9 dual core processor
  • PowerVR SGX545 graphic chip
  • Organic light emitting diode (OLED) screens
  • Video chat
  • Removable battery (most probably)
  • High resolution screen
Reports of an iPhone 4G have surfaced since June when Apple filed several iPhone patent applications, including one for haptic technology for touch feedback and another for radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags to be built into a touch-sensor panel. Additional reports surfaced in November when China Ontrade, an iPhone parts seller, leaked images of iPhone 4G parts.
Dual Core Processor: The current iPhone 3GS has a 612MHz processor. Despite coming in way below Qualcomm’s 1GHz SnapDragon chips with respect to clock speed, it remains to be an extremely efficient processor. Are dual cores the answer for Apple? Perhaps. The improved GPU will certainly go a long way to improve 3D gaming if the rumor is true.
About PowerVR SGX545 graphic chip: Imagination Technologies, the official supplier of GPUs for iPhone, has introduced the new PowerVR GPU SGX545. The new GPU boasts very good performance, in fact, DirectX 10.1, OpenGL 3.2 and OpenCL 1.0, and can handle up to 40 million polygons per second (1 Gpixels / sec) up to 200MHz, up from 28 million ’s Current iPhone 3GS (almost 2 times faster).
Removable battery: Despite the long-standing complaints against the iPhone’s non-replaceable battery, it is hard to believe that Apple would suddenly change course. Apple has been integrating batteries into its products for years, and has even begun to do the same with its laptops. As much as iPhone users might want a user replaceable battery, it’s unlikely.
OLED Screen: Apple, Inc. will reportedly introduce an OLED iPhone 4G in the spring to battle the parade of Google Android-based devices. It was rumored for the iPhone 3GS and didn’t happen, but with Google’s Nexus One sporting an OLED screen, Apple may have more incentive to upgrade.
The 320 x 480 display is looking decidedly shoddy when compared to the 480 x 800 displays of today’s Android devices. Whether or not its is OLED, I can’t say, but that’s what would make sense given OLED’s improved battery life capabilities.
Video chat: Another supposed feature of the new iPhone is the long rumored video chat feature and an improved still and video camera. I don’t doubt that Apple could make it available in the next iPhone. But if that happens, U.S. users could have a déjà vu of the iPhone’s tethering debacle, where the feature was offered outside of the United States, but not by AT&T due to bandwidth concerns. Still, this feature would also require a front-facing camera, which could be valuable even without video conferencing.
iphone_camera_5MP
The most recent rumor is iPhone is going to pack with a 5 MP camera. According to a report by Digitimes, the Omni Vision had received orders from Apple for the production of 45-50 million 5-megapixel CMOS sensors for the next generation of iPhone. The news has not been confirmed or disagreed so take this as a rumor, even if the source (digitimes) has always been reliable. Like always the rumors will be cleared on WWDC 2010 when Mr. Jobs or or Phil Schiller hoists it up on stage.
KT, an exclusive partner of Apple in South Korea, is expected to sell the iPhones to a small number of early adopters who are local corporate clients. The company will then offer the devices to local distributors in June. KT is the same carrier that sold 220,000 iPhone 3Gs from November 2009 to the first week of January. KT’s goal is to sell 500,000 iPhone 4Gs in 2010.
For now, we simply have to wait for Apple to get around to announcing iPhone version 4.0.

2012 5th generation iPhone

Just a few days ago, a leaked image of iPhone 5 in a Chinese website which claimed that iPhone 5 will have “Edge-to-Edge display”. Now another Chinese website tw.apple.pro has shown an image of the supposed part of the 5th generation iPhone which suggests a handset with a sliding screen cover and a hardware keyboard.
The image posted on that website appears to be a 30-pin dock connector cable from an unreleased iPhone, with the part number 821-1300-02 HF/c1.
A rough translation of the report via Google Translate claims that recent online photos of a different part claiming to show an edge-to-edge 4-inch display in the next iPhone are fake. Some reports have suggested that Apple is considering a slightly larger screen size for its next handset.
Instead, the report claims Apple has built a new iPhone model with a “sliding cover.” It notes that the alleged device has a “frame shape” similar to the current iPhone 4, though the device is “slightly thicker” than the current-generation iPhone.

2011 Apple iPad 2

After the public release of Apple iPad 2 today, Apple is expected to release the new version of iPhone, “iPhone 5” along side with the release of “iOS 5”. Chinese site iDealsChina claims that they have got the engineering diagrams of the new iPhone 5.

The images fits well with the earlier leaked panel images of iPhone 5 and they resemble iPhone 4 with an addition of larger edge to edge screen as been expected in the new iPhone 5.

Here’s what they have told in their official website:
We just got what appears to be mold engineering drawings for iPhone 5. These would be used by case designers to create plastic, TPU, aluminum, silicone and leather cases. A while back we hear rumors that iPhone 5 would have a curved back but these images show iPhone 5 with the same form factor as iPhone 4 but with an edge to edge screen.
The site has earlier also leaked design of the 4th Generation iPod Nano which turned out to be an accurate. Soon we can expect more images and parts of the iPhone 5.
